Starting this August, our Kangaroo Doorbell Camera and Chime will be available for purchase at The Good Guys and Officeworks online and at locations across Australia. The first of our products to be available, the Doorbell Camera, sends notifications to the user’s phone, where they will receive motion and ring alerts, along with motion-photo recordings of activity. Doorbell Camera runs on three AA batteries (included in the package). True to our promise of simplicity, there is absolutely no hardwiring or tools needed to set up the device. All it takes is less than five minutes to peel and stick the device onto your wall, or screw in the backplate for something more secure. It also comes with a Chime to amplify the ring whenever someone’s at the door.
Of course, it’s not enough to be able to keep an eye out — we also want to empower you with the means to fight back in case something goes wrong. That’s why the Doorbell Camera comes with a Porch Protection Plan, which you can use to get reimbursed in the case of theft, among other features— the first of its kind in the Aussie smart doorbell market. Through the Porch Protection Plan, you can submit package theft claims right in the Kangaroo app and get reimbursed within 72 hours. Each plan comes with 365 days of Cloud storage, a 90-day activity history, and even more coverage options for damage and stolen goods. Standalone Porch Protection Plans are another option for consumers who don’t have Kangaroo home security equipment, and it can be used with cameras from other security providers too.
